Modern Metro Living Baby Quilt
This is a new favorite. After doing a few quilts in muted and soft colors it's nice to use these bright vivid prints.
Another good use for half-square triangles.
I think this is great for baby boys but it also would work well in a gender-neutral nursery. The fabrics are from the Metro Living collection by Robert Kaufman.
I quilted it in straight lines around the outside of each color group. I had intended to only stitch in the ditch but I wasn't paying attention and I did an extra row around one of the colors. Since I hate ripping out more than doing extra quilting each color got 3 rows of stitching. In the end I think it worked out perfectly and the back looks pretty cool too.
The back is the same white as the front and the binding is a solid navy blue. I love how it looks against that white.
This quilt is available in my etsy shop if you're interested.
Meanwhile I am finishing up a custom toddler quilt using more Strawberry Fields Revisited and starting to pick/order fabrics for a custom wedding signature quilt. Check out my Instagram account for more frequent updates.
