Cute Posy Quilt
Another recent finish. I bought this fabric at a local quilt shop I found while looking for something to do while my boys were at lacrosse practice. The quilt shop (Stitiching on State) is in an old home that has been converted into a 2-story store. It's really neat as they have kept some of the old house charm including the huge wrap-around porch.
The fabric is an older line called Posy by Aneela Hoey. It was so adorable I couldn't wait to cut into it so I had at it the other day.
I fussy cut the print with the little girls. Here's one with her chicken.
Here's another one writing in her journal.
And at the bottom of this picture you can see the little blonde reading her favorite book.
This is the print I used for the back and the binding. It feels so fresh and summery to me.
Here's one last look...
Like usual this adorable baby girl quilt is available in my etsy shop if you're interested.
I wish I could say I've gotten more done over the last few weeks but between a vacation at our cottage and driving kids back and forth to camp it's been tough to get much done. Oh and my other new job...head gardener. While I love all the beautiful landscaping here at the new house it is way labor intensive to keep it looking nice. Especially this summer with all the weed inviting rain. Everything is looking really great now so I'll be sharing some pics soon.
