Marvelous Marmalade

Just a quick post to show off a quilt I finished in the last week...

I am calling this one Marvelous Marmalade.

It's made from Bonnie and Camille's Marmalade fabrics.  I bought the fabric last year and had been hoarding it for something special.  Well after staring at these beautiful fabrics for over 12 months I decided that I just needed to use it up.  Besides I ordered this huge box of Tasha Noel's Country Girl fabric so I needed the shelf space.

So I did a traditional irish chain pattern for the front and then a nice crisp clean solid piece of Kona white for the back.

The binding is scrappy to match the patchwork pieces.

I quilted in diagonal lines across the nine patch squares which gave it this interesting diamond and rectangle combination on the back.  I've already washed it once to bring out all the wonderful puckers.

This one was completed in a nice comfy lap quilt size of 50 x 70 inches by me on my machine.

It's available in my etsy shop for those who might be interested.  There's just a few more days left on my 10% off special so if you love it you may want to take advantage of the sale.
