For WIP (work in progress) Wednesday I thought I would show you my latest baby quilts. One is done and one just needs me to finish sewing on the binding.
The finished one I did with a patchwork middle and added 2 borders.
The owl fabric and the pink with white polka dots are from Joann's and the rest are from my stash. Apparently I have a thing for fabrics with white polka dots because as I was trying to find fabrics to coordinate with the owls everything I picked had polka dots.
I used the same pink with white polka dots that's in the first border for the binding. Machine stitched on of course.
You can see that owl print is my backing fabric too.
I quilted the patchwork pieces on this one in a grid pattern following the seams and I outlined the borders in the same way. The little owls are just too cute. This Owl Always Love You baby quilt is available now in my etsy shop if you're interested. Use code LOVE10 to get 10% off all my ready-made quilts until February 14.
The next quilt was a spur of the moment just because I had extra squares leftover from the first owl quilt.
It's all patchwork without borders and I added in a few more fabrics to fill it out. This one is also a baby size and I quilted it by crisscrossing each patchwork square. I did use the same owl print for the back and as you can see it's just waiting to have its binding finished up.
Next up is an Irish Chain quilt using some Bonnie and Camille Marmalade that I had stashed away - I'm actually going to do 2 at once - one for a friend and one to sell.
