Sometimes I can't believe how long I go between blog posts. Sometimes I can't believe that I find time to post at all.
Since I last posted everyone is back to school which you would think would free up my time but not so much. Somehow I feel busier than ever. I'm pretty sure I've done more school "work" than my kids so far. Plus it doesn't help that we've had 2 emergency days for high temperatures.
Anyways, here are a few things that I've managed to get done over the last few weeks.
This quilt I made following Vintage Modern's sample. She used a free Moda pattern but I couldn't get my hands on the pattern so I figured out my own dimensions on some graph paper adding an additional row of blocks to make mine twin sized. I quilted it using straight lines on the borders and criss-crossing each of the blocks. I also stitched in the ditch around the sashing pieces. It turned out nicely but I'm not sure I would do another in all solids - I like using prints too much.
I also made a load of table runners to put in my etsy shop. I found this fabric at Joann's and it was just too cute to resist. It totally reminded me of something you'd see at Pottery Barn kids.
This fabric came from Joann's too. Who doesn't love a little gobble til you wobble?
I thought this fabric said autumn without being too over the top or too cutesy.
I also finished up our upstairs bathroom and I'll share that soon. Next on the agenda is redoing our main floor powder room. Plus I am determined to stock up my etsy shop for holiday gift shoppers. What is everyone else up to this fall?
