A Quilt for My Girl

As soon as I finished the quilt for my new nephew my daughter wanted one of her own.  I was happy to oblige.  I bought some Dress Up Days by Riley Blake and decided to do squares to highlight the cute little girls.  I fussy cut the girls and did every other square either print or white outline with the opposite in the middle.

This was the 3rd quilt I made and it was before I bought a walking foot.  I had some trouble with tucks and puckers but once I washed it and it got all crinkly you don't really notice the imperfections.  Well, at least my daughter doesn't and that's the one who matters in this case:).

I also made shams to match making sure at least one girl was in center of each pillow.

I finished this a while ago but my daughter decided to use it right away before I could get any pictures.  Yesterday I had some time so I grabbed a few quick photos of it up on her bed.

The back is a solid piece of the floral pattern from Dress Up Days and the binding is also from the line.  I do like it when all the fabrics coordinate so nicely.

I love that the little girls are so cheerful and carefree.
